Upcoming Planting Events
Together with the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, along with other dedicated partners, the Texas Trees Foundation is helping to replace trees that were lost during the severe weather at city parks from this past year.
Over 700 mature trees were lost at city parks and it would take 5,200 new trees to replace the ones that were lost during the storms. In order to help with this reforestation process, the Foundation and its partners will be planting new trees in strategic locations to help mitigate the Urban Heat Island effect and restore the tree canopy coverage in our local communities. Please join us in the below planting events at local parks in the DFW Metroplex that were affected by the storms. Each planting starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.
