Sadly, due to poor tree maintenance, land development, severe weather and tree disease, many of these neighborhoods lost their shade. Fortunately, some of these tree-lined neighborhoods still exist today. Why not discover some of these great places on your own?<\/p>\n<p>A casual stroll through the M Streets, Munger Place, Lakewood, and Oak Cliff will reveal tree-lined, shaded neighborhoods\u2014not just ornamentals but the large majestic trees that we associate with forests. In fact, Texas is home to more oak species than any other state in the U.S., and many of our trees are either native or have become naturalized to the Dallas area\u2014 we enjoy a treasure trove of diverse tree species.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Without question, yes.
